Mac and Mike discuss examples of propaganda and how it can lead to extreme views. We have 24 hours to fill with 30 minutes of news. This leads to way too much commentary. The commentary leads to juicing things up so advertisers will pay for the airtime. Political parties and others with an agenda have taken advantage of this situation for more than 2 decades. Add the amplification of social media and you have the mess we are now in.

Examples:
It becomes impossible to tell what is really happening in Ukraine. Some things we can see through video. The problem is that we do not always have the full context. Are stories like the one below true?

“We’ve seen Russian soldiers — short of weapons and morale — refusing to carry out orders, sabotaging their own equipment and even accidentally shooting down their own aircraft,” ~ Source

Is the “Ghost of Kyiv” propaganda or real? We may not know until long after the war ends.

Then we have outright lies here in America. For example, Joe Biden lies about his son’s business dealings which also involved the MSM, Big Tech, and over 50 former U.S. Intel officials. Hillary Clinton and the DNC paid for the lies about Trump that led to what amounted to the crippling of our Republic. Then there are the most recent lies about the law in Florida.

“The bill prohibits classroom instruction on sexual orientation or gender identity in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students.” ~ Source direct link to the Bill or Click here for the Summary.

The negative outcome of all these deceptions, propaganda and lies is extreme views held by people on all sides of the political spectrum. We the people must start holding each other accountable by standing up and correcting the record. The normal channels that did this in the past are now often guilty of encouraging misinformation. It is up to you to investigate and properly inform yourself and then others.
